A slammed door closed without the key being turned: only the latch bolt holds it. A locksmith opens it in minutes, without damage. A locked door (key turned, or multipoint lock engaged) requires more technique and costs more. Always describe the exact situation on the phone: that is what determines the quoted price.
Reflexes that save you money
First check other accesses (a reachable window, a service door, a neighbour with a spare key). Do not try to open the door yourself with a bank card or screwdriver: every week we see bent bolts and broken cylinders that turn a €50 opening into a €190 lock replacement. Beware of services advertising "from €30" with no written commitment: demand a firm price on the phone.
